Five Minutes at Hotel Stormcove
Five Minutes in Hotel Stormcove anthology is out now, with a whopping 59 stories!
My debut flash fiction story Zephyr (SF) is featured in this anthology. This was my first attempt at submitting a short/flash story online. Writing has been a passion since I was a little girl. Those dreams have fallen by the wayside until recently, when I started to embrace the idea of being my own hero and pursuing my passions. When I heard the prompt for this anthology, I could not resist! And I had the most fun writing this story!
The prompt for Five Minutes in Hotel Stormcove was simple – tell a story that elapses in 5 minutes in this fictional hotel called Hotel Stormcove. It could be any genre (no horror, though), time period, and place within Hotel Stormcove’s grounds. A description and history of the hotel was also provided in the prompt.
I’ll admit that my story does not have much of an arc. In my future stories that I hope to share with the world, I will look to improve plot and character development. Regardless, I’m still very proud of my Hotel Stormcove story.
Huge thank you to Atthis Arts for including my story in the anthology. Working with E. D. E. Bell was an absolute delight. She was very mindful of keeping my voice. She and her husband selflessly dedicated a lot of their time and energy to create a beautiful masterpiece.
Also, I want to give a huge shout out to my friends whom I enlisted as editors. The feedback was very thoughtful and helped my story greatly!
After reading the stories from my fellow authors, I’m absolutely humbled. It’s delightful to see the diverse background of the writers and the creative ways they approached Hotel Stormcove.
